Some Councils find it useful to carry out post canvass campaigns by telephone to ascertain why non respondents have failed to respond to the request for Electoral Register information and also to update the Register even though the 1 December update deadline may have been missed. This has the added benefit that the information is available for next years update. The post canvass campaign can be carried out at any time of the year but is particularly effective in the Summer Months prior to the annual update.

For example if an Authority wanted us to ring 2000 households for which we retrieved 600 telephone numbers from whom we confirm registrant details from 500 properties the cost will be:
Where a resident refuses to provide us with registration details there will be no data retrieval charged levied
