All data collected by the Data Tracking system complies with the electoral registration data standards and can be transmitted to the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) in whatever format is required by them. The Data Tracking system enables us to adapt any methods required by the ERO for the annual electoral register update and particular regard is made to Part 2 Section 9 of the Electoral Administration Act 2006 which states that 'each Registration Officer must take all steps that are necessary for the purpose of complying with his duty to maintain the registers including (a) sending more than once to any address the form to be used for the canvass (b) making on one or more occasions house to house inquiries (c) making contact by such other means as the registration officer thinks appropriate with persons who do not have an entry in the register’. Where permitted by the ERO Data Tracking will attempt to contact all persons who have not completed the electoral registration form after the canvass stage has been completed but in good time for the deadline for data submission on 1 December each year.
Data Tracking will also handle ‘post canvas’ campaigns where requested to do so by the Electoral Registration Officer.
