The key to effective electoral register canvasing lies in the quality of the Staff employed. During the 2008 and 2009 annual electoral register updates we employed hundreds of Staff and tested different supervision and remuneration methods which have resulted in us adapting what we believe to be the perfect formula for an effective campaign whilst keeping costs to a minimum for the Local Authority. References & CRB checks
CRB checks are carried out on all potential employees and references obtained where this is practical
Supervision
An experienced supervisor is employed for every two teams of five Staff
Health & Safety
A Health and Safety procedures manual is given to each employee covering aspects such as dealing with animals and night work etc
Training
Full training is given to all Staff as well as a procedures manual which they can refer to at any time
